The BUNNEY MA-1

First perfected for military use in the 1950s, the MA-1 flight jacket is a classic in UK style. Adopted in the 1970s by skinheads, it would become part of the 1980s club-land uniform into the 1990s, often with badges, patches and other ephemera attached to their MA-1s.

Produced for BUNNEY by Alpha Industries, the American company that was awarded the military contract for their construction in 1961, these jackets come in Olive drab with bright orange lining – a feature the military originally used so the jackets could be worn inside-out for maximum visibility should disaster strike.

Fans of BUNNEY will recognise the WORKSHOP and PRECIOUS WARES belt motif producly embroidered to the front and reverse in bone and golden thread.
