Dubbed the “Aperture Vase,” this solid Sterling Silver piece derives its name from its unique ability to play with light and reflections while featuring a unique detail that helps accommodate both traditional floral arrangements and a singular expression.

Available in two versions; the first being a careful and exacting high-polish finish, while the other showcases a traditional, time-intensive hand-planished finish. Handcrafted to the highest standards at Bunney’s workshops in London, each vase undergoes an exacting process, passing through the skilled hands of silversmiths, gilders, and polishers.

At the heart of the Aperture Vase lies a delicate interior gilded in 24-carat gold, not only enhancing its aesthetic allure but also serving a practical purpose by protecting the surface from water. This opulent detail extends gracefully to the exterior, revealing a hidden brilliance that captivates the eye.
The journey to create the Aperture Vase is one of dedication and precision, spanning a total of seven weeks before each 1.2kg piece is meticulously hallmarked at the Assay Office. Here, precious metals have been tested and marked for centuries, ensuring the utmost quality and authenticity.

Standing at an elegant height of 22cm, the Aperture Vase appears deceptively simple, but its creation involves
overcoming intricate technical challenges, resulting in a sophisticated piece with a truly unique presence. Each Aperture Vase is a testament to Eugene Whang and Bunney’s dedication to excellence, numbered by skilled hand- engravers and crafted to order, ensuring a truly bespoke experience for every discerning collector.

Eugene Whang
An industrial designer based in San Francisco, California, made his mark during a storied tenure at Apple spanning over two decades. As a pivotal member of the company’s esteemed industrial design team, he played a key role in shaping some of the most iconic products of our time. Since departing, following the completion of the celebrated AirPods Max, he has channelled his unique expertise into collaborative endeavours with select companies and design studios. Eugene, affectionately known as Eug, is also a widely toured DJ and founder of Public Release Recordings, an independent record label and multidisciplinary creative platform.
